Art View
As always looking at peoples art that is intriguing turns any day into a good day. Today I came across Randis's work and loved the choices of color and spent hours just looking at his work. Thought I'd share my findings, they speak for themselves.

356 Organizational Project post
Okay I thought I would take a moment to relate on our projects and ideas I found from google searches. Though my project is very basic and visually easy on this idea I saw some ideas which would be great for someone good with the drawing with photoshop here is a example!

Camera Obscura
This section takes me back to photography class making Single-Point Perspectives with oatmeal containers. I looked up a site to get information on how exactly to do it again since it has been years since I took my photography classes.

Under the Illusion of space tab, I was drawn in to Thomas Eakins Illusion of space for Double Jump and wondered if there was more art done by Eakins with jumping and found more arty that looks like it could be added to this art and continue a story.
This reminds me of flip book art laid out for the viewing.

Just Think-Lessig
The just think organization talked about in copyright reminds me of an organization I just wrote a paper on in Seattle called ReelGrrrls, with digital media production equipment loaned out to girls of all ages in the program. (http://www.reelgrrls.org).
Here Is a picture of the bus for JustThink.org described in the book.
A picture of http://www.reelgrrls.org.... located in Seattle Washington for all ages and income, allowing reduced costs for classes.

Very cool Idea Lessig tried out by putting his kids in room and made music, sounds like a creative idea. I am a huge Disney fan and have read many books on Disney's life so this section is a recap for me but one thing that always amazes me is the way that Disney being a young guy failed many times in his life but still followed his dreams and created something that no one else has ever been able to create in such a short time. He was a very different character and saw things outside the box and this is what made him very successful.
Innovations at CBC which I've taken. Regularly is in my thoughts for Professor Gene Holland regularly told us students we are sculptured in society to learn in a particular way and graded all the same and to be artists and creative inventors we need to think outside the box, differently, for if we don't nothing new will ever come about.
Walt Disney was an inventor, a creator and a genius in opinion and he laid stepping stones at Disney, that created a whole new era of innovations. Today Disney has become a major monopoly that many people don't even know about. Disney may not be on every logo but his company owns more than one sees by eye.
Lessig Reading , Privacy
Piracy today is a big issue that can be used as an easy debatable. Who is at fault the seller, the Internet sites, or the downloader? Today many people illegally pirate software, music, books and so forth, but I feel that the companies that own the websites from this illegal downloads is at fault since logistically they are gaining from the situation more than anything, they're capable of stealing(personal data), advertising and selling advertisement to legit sites, but from what I've learned in 401 comp & society at WSU Tri-cities campus spring 2013, is that record companies are cracking down on citizens for illegally downloading. A mother in Tri-cities area got a criminal lawsuit against her for over $100,000.00 for her daughter who is a minor at the time downloading hundreds of free songs through the Internet. This is a major issue and everyone has personal opinions on it but I feel that they have helped the situation with iTunes availability. Now people are able to buy a song here and their more affordable that downloading issues may decrease if they haven't already.

Value
While reading about how quickly things gain and lose value, like the lava lamp. It made me think of things in my life time that does that and it makes me think of the furby. When I was 7 or 8 at christmas time these furby toys (that this year have been brought back) flew off shelves. Kids wanted these toys and parents did anything to get them. When my mom got ours they where $27 and she turned around in December and sold them for $1000 a piece. Christmas came and within a week that toy was back on shelves and cheap.
Just goes to show that value changes rapidly I know I'd never pay that kind of price for a cheap toy.

This photo from our reading ties in with the Question Peter Christenson, asked me previously. What he asked for was an example of how one person sees something one way and another sees completely different.
This photo was shown to two of my mother friends that have not breast fed their children at a younger age. They took this photo as pornography rather than nurturing. Where myself as a mother who breast fed for 2 full years takes this photo as a historical fact that breastfeeding is nurturing and natural.
Culturally times have changed many woman today choose not to breastfeed and for some reason think its not necessary anymore. When I asked my friends why they thought the breast hanging out was inappropriate, both gave me similar responses that everyone knows that nursing happens, the boob just should not be showing.
Being a mother that has nursed, remembers how nursing is viewed in our society as something private. People think nursing mothers should nurse in bathrooms or at home. This photo is supporting a purpose the breast is the significance in the picture without it exposed the meaning changes.

Notes on some key points of the Lessig reading.
-Lessig, focuses on the effect of the internet rather than the internet itself, the effects on how culture is made from internet accessibility.
-Lessig discusses how change is distinguished between commercial (culture that is produced and sold) and non-commercial everything else.
-The focus on law always was focused on commercial creativity, laws are moving towards Media and so forth.
-Internet is a new era in building and cultivating new culture.
-Republic gives the right to build upon the past, and protect creators and innovators from private control -Lessig is trying to confront values and the importance of property over ideas and culture.

Lessig post 1
The Lessig reading is surprisingly interesting. One thing that I'm noticing is that it ties in with the readings from my computers in society class I took spring 2013!
I'm sorry but the first page made me laugh. the Causby's filing a lawsuit saying that the government trespassing is causing chickens to run into walls! lol
Technology gap is real though my grandmas 86 years old and refuses to use many technology devices, says their destroying people from having friends, cooking meals and so forth. One thing i get from all this that Technology is enable, it will continue regardless of personal opinions. Today it is impossible to get an education in United States with out technology use. Technology is used in every classroom.

355-Illusions
While reading the Illusions of space section I decided to put this in and google away and see what comes up. This picture by Philipee, http://philipee.deviantart.com caught my attention. Mostly the color and shapes being used, Then I start to look at other work he's done and saw that he has a wide variety of art taking place. Here is another beautiful piece with a completely different meaning!
Great piece in my opinion!

Color-355
I Really enjoyed the Adding and subtracting colors section of Chapter 2. This is mostly because i do this often to create new feelings in photography. The picture above is taken and given to me by my good friend Jana Monroe, old owner of Salon Monroe in Kennewick. This pictures taken at Coronado Beach California almost 2 weeks ago. "AN AMAZING OVER CLOUD PICTURE I MUST SAY." But I've been playing with color. The bottom photo is the original taken by iPhone, the middle is adding blue, Which makes the photo seem earthy in my opinion, then the top had yellow making the day seem more light and sunny, and to me makes the people stand out more. By playing with color your changing the feeling in a photo.

This is my first Photoshop work. The programing was hard to get use to but I was a champ at not getting overly frustrated. This Is Jocelyn Giles, myself I am a puzzle in itself. I never have all of me shared to the world. I started from scratch this summer, single for the first time since 18, living on my own, new career, single parent and no family in town! I'm still picking up the pieces and starting to find myself.
