Of course everyone is doing a lot of research on artists and designers for our portfolios and of course I've come across many inspirational artists. one I fell in love with is Emma Ferreira's work. She like myself started off painting and from there got interested in photography. Her work is very beautiful and tells stories and captures female beauty.
Things that inspire me that she does is of course she is a very publicly influential artist but she also has passion to giving back to children. This is something that caught my attention on her page that she is involved in education for children. This is something I have experience doing myself with working at ARC of tri-cities as well as well as myself having my ECE background.
Of course none of this takes away from her artistic view which involves movement photography as well as motivational words. Here are some examples of her photography works and oil paintings.

Sakura-con 2014
Today in downtown Seattle I got to see many people walking the streets dressed up as their favorite Anima charector's. In Seattle's Convention center this weekend people are buying/trading and just having a good time celebrating their favorite Japanese anime character. This is a place to see costumes when its not even halloween, artists selling anime drawings and graphics, merchandisers everywhere and people just meeting new people. To check out guests at convention and scheduling go to http://www.sakuracon.org.

Article released April 11th 2014
Paddy Johnsons article caught my eye called will galleries and museums ever embrace animated gif art. Today we have way more technology and social networking that is bringing out more GIF art available to see on the net. Paddy talks about how two social networking cites are main platforms today for artists to easily post work and ideas one being tumblr and the other google+. Though there is no easy way to explain these networkings being big on art since they where not designed for so but they are obviously a platform for artists today. Her article question to me, got me thinking about the art community and the future of art and though gif art is slowly popping up in some art shows like the Armory Art Show. Art I feel is forever changing but galleries are always going to be selective of their particular taste in art and what is fit within.
Greatest Artist Easter Egg Hunt New York
This would be great to have on campus in the future for the BFA students and Digital Tech Culture students. In New York popular artists like Julian Schnabel, Zaha Hadid and designers like Martha Stewart and Ralph Lauren are designing and putting their own easter egg designs up around the city of New York. These eggs are already up for auction starting at $500, the bids are already up some over $360,000.00.

Seattle Merging Artists Call
I did some research of how to get one of the Street art projects in Seattle and found the call for artists page on Seattle.gov. Some merging Artists that have participated in the street arts in Seattle are Tim Marsden, Sam Trout, Joanne Lepore, and Breanne Gearheart as well as many others. The nice thing is that neighborhood communities can create maintain public artwork in their own neighborhoods supported by Seattle's community. At this time they are looking for new artists for a street project in May and have open submissions at this time. Here are some of the previous work done...
