Michael REES


Putto is an ongoing piece that Michael REES has been sculpting since 2005.  REES is known for his sculptures that captivate all sorts of audiences using themes of figuration, language, technology and the social image.  He has featured his work in venues such as the Whitney Museum, the MARTa, the Pera Museum, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, and many private galleries.  
REES lives and works in New York and is a professor at the William Patterson University.  There he is the Director of the Center For New Art and the Co-director of the Fine Arts Graduate program.
